Job Description:
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated part-time dog walker to join our team. The position involves driving from home to home during weekdays midday (10:00 AM to 3:00 PM) to provide dog walking services, as well as occasional weekend pet sitting for clients who are traveling. The number of days and hours worked per week will vary, typically ranging from 10 to 20 hours, and we are willing to accommodate a schedule around another job.

Responsibilities:

• Conducting midday dog walks for clients' pets, ensuring they receive exercise and stimulation during the day

• Providing pet sitting services for clients' pets when they are traveling, including feeding, watering, and providing companionship

• Walking large dogs that may pull on the leash and managing multiple dogs simultaneously

• Walking for up to 5 hours per shift, regardless of weather conditions

• Maintaining open communication with clients and providing updates on their pets' well-being

• Committing to at least a one-year tenure with our company

Requirements:

• Must have your own reliable vehicle suitable for driving in snowy conditions

• Prior experience working with dogs is preferred but not required

• Ability to handle large dogs and walk for extended periods in various weather conditions

• Willingness to undergo a background check

• Residing in or near our service area is preferred

As a dog walker/pet sitter with Freedom Pet Service, you will be responsible for providing exercise, companionship, and care for our clients' pets.

• Walking dogs of various sizes, ensuring their safety and well-being during outings

• Providing in-home pet sitting services, including feeding, watering, and administering medication if necessary

• Maintaining communication with clients and providing updates on their pets' activities

• Following specific instructions provided by clients regarding their pets' routines and care

• Ensuring cleanliness and tidiness of pet areas during visits

Requirements:

• Ability to handle both small and large dogs confidently

• Comfortable walking multiple dogs simultaneously

• Reliable transportation to travel to clients' homes within the service area

• Excellent time management and organizational skills

• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities

• Prior experience in pet care is preferred but not required

Schedule:
The workload may vary from week to week. Weekend availability is essential, with client visits scheduled between the hours of 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM and 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. There may be breaks between visits, making this position most suitable for individuals residing in or near our service area. This is very part time, it can range from 1-10 visits per a week.
